Sarah Andersen is a Lecturer in the Department of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Science (ADVS) at Utah State University. Her work focuses on equine-assisted services, equine welfare, and educational assessment tools for equine training and therapy programs. She teaches courses in equine-assisted services, adaptive riding, and horse conditioning, with a strong emphasis on practical applications for mental health therapy and animal welfare.

Andersen received the Superior Paper Award (2024) from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
