Sarah Amonett is an Instructor of Biology at Southern Arkansas University (SAU), affiliated with the Department of Biology within the College of Science & Engineering. She holds a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University (2017) and an M.S. in Biology from the University of Mississippi (2020). Her research focuses on disease ecology, specifically investigating transmission dynamics and transgenerational effects of avian bacterial pathogens in songbird hosts. She teaches Introduction to Biology and has prior experience as a research assistant in fish ecology.
