Sarah Alexander is a Lecturer and Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Dance program at Bath Spa University’s Bath School of Music and Performing Arts. She teaches contemporary dance, site dance, and professional practice, with a focus on ecological themes and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work explores how dance and embodied knowledge address environmental challenges, exemplified by her event Embodying Ecocide: between hope and hopelessness.

Research interests include the intersection of dance with ecology, pedagogy, and technology. Professional recognition includes a Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. She has served as an External Examiner for South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and led workshops for venues like Ripon Cathedral and the Royal Festival Hall.
