Professor Sara Seck is a full professor at Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law, serving as the Yogis & Keddy Chair in Human Rights Law (until 2025) and Director of the Marine & Environmental Law Institute. She previously held roles as Associate Dean, Research, and taught at Western University. Her expertise lies at the intersection of human rights, environmental law, and climate justice, focusing on transnational responsibilities of states, businesses, and communities. She holds degrees in music (BMus, MMus), law (LLB), and a PhD in law from Osgoode Hall. Her research emphasizes global south perspectives, Indigenous rights, and sustainable development in the extractive and ocean sectors.
