Sara Roberts is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton's Winchester School of Art, specializing in practice-based curatorial education. Her research focuses on heritage sites as platforms for contemporary visual art practice, non-gallery exhibition formats, and audience development in craft contexts.

Her current research investigates color application in studio silversmithing and jewelry through the international exhibition 'What Colour is Metal?' (2021-2022). Key projects include:

- The Winchester Gallery
Supported by Design and Crafts Council Ireland, Arts Council England (R+D grant), and Sheffield Hallam University. She has extensive experience with heritage institutions including NT Penrhyn Castle (2015-17) and the Chemistry Set exhibition (1993) examining metal patination.
