Sara Nourazari

Sara Nourazari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Care Management within the College of Health & Human Services at California State University, Long Beach. She joined the department as an assistant professor in fall 2016 and has since been promoted to tenured Associate Professor, specializing in applying analytical methodologies to healthcare system optimization.

Research Focus: Dr. Nourazari's work centers on harnessing data science and operations research to enhance healthcare system efficiency through intelligent decision support. Her research specifically addresses system behavior patterns using machine learning for emergency department payment forecasting and adaptive queue management models for real-time access control. She investigates critical aspects of robustness, scalability, and sustainability in healthcare decision systems while accounting for uncertainty, variability, and human factors inherent in clinical environments.
