Dr. Sara Koveleski Kraut is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Rosalind Franklin University's College of Health Professions. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish/Pre-Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. As a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, she maintains dual roles in academia and clinical practice as founder/owner of Advanced Physical Therapy & Health Services, facilitating university-community research collaborations.
Her research focuses on:
- Exercise impacts on balance, gait, and strength in older adults
- Group exercise efficacy for neurological rehabilitation
- Innovative interventions like boxing and Pilates for aging populations
- Vestibular and neuromuscular rehabilitation techniques
Honors include:
- Outstanding Faculty Teacher Award (2022)
- Clinical Education Award (2001)
She holds multiple certifications: Neurologic Physical Therapy Specialist, Clinical Instructor, Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor.
