Sara K. Miller

Sara K. Miller is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), serving as Section Director for Emergency Ultrasound. Her work focuses on bedside ultrasound teaching, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives in emergency medicine.

• Education: MD, Emergency Medicine Residency and Ultrasound Fellowship at McGovern Medical School

Research Interests
Dr. Miller specializes in Point-of-Care Ultrasound and Patient Safety, with emphasis on medical error identification and prevention. She has developed quality assurance processes for emergency departments and led projects improving ED throughput times and critical lab value notifications.
