Sara Heshmati

Role & Affiliation: Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tübingen's Institute of Evolution and Ecology, within the NamTip project. Works under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Research Focus: Specializes in land degradation assessment in Namibian savannas using time series analysis. Investigates early warning signals of ecological tipping points in dryland systems to inform desertification management strategies.

Key Activities: Conducts interdisciplinary research to develop sustainable management approaches for degraded ecosystems. Collaborates with the Plant Ecology Group led by Prof. Katja Tielbörger.
