Sara Godchaux

Sara Godchaux serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, teaching in the Disability Justice section of the Loyola Law Clinic. She co-founded the Education Project in 2018 to address critical gaps in legal representation for students and families regarding school discipline and special education matters across greater New Orleans.

Her educational background includes:

• J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law (summa cum laude, 2012)
• B.A. in Political Science and French from Vanderbilt University (magna cum laude, 2007)

Professor Godchaux's work centers on Education Law with specialized focus on special education advocacy, school discipline reform, and children's mental health within civil rights frameworks. Her clinical practice directly addresses systemic inequities through community-based legal representation for vulnerable student populations.

She supervises third-year law students in the Youth Justice section while developing the Education Project's initiatives.
