Hiroko Kusuda is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Immigration Law Section at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, leading the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic & Center for Social Justice. She supervises student practitioners representing clients in U.S. Immigration Courts, federal courts, and administrative agencies. Prior to Loyola, she worked with detained immigrants at CLINIC, managing representation projects post-Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. She is a respected figure in immigration law, co-founding the Louisiana Immigrant Representation Working Group to expand legal access.
