Sara E. Imperiale is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and Litigation Director of the Environment, Equity, and Justice Center at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). She joined NRDC in 2013, leading litigation and advocacy to address environmental hazards in collaboration with marginalized communities and coalitions. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of New Jersey.

Awards: Recognized as a Udall Scholar in 2009 for her commitment to environmental and indigenous rights advocacy.
Advising & Grants: Though no formal student advisees are listed, her litigation work inherently involves mentoring legal teams and community partners. She has contributed to NRDC’s major environmental justice initiatives since 2013.
