Associate Professor Sara Dehm is a legal scholar specializing in public international law, international migration, refugee law, and legal history. She holds positions at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), including Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law and International Student Liaison Officer. Previously, she was a Senior Fellow at the Melbourne Law School and Visiting Fellow at UNSW and Harvard Law School's Doha Workshop. Her research examines international legal frameworks, state responsibility, and the gendered impacts of border policies. She has contributed to projects on European émigré jurists and Australia’s offshore detention regime. Notable awards include the LSAANZ ECR Article Prize (2022) and UTS Teaching Citation Award (2022).
Dehm’s education includes a PhD and BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from UTS. She is affiliated with institutions like (B)OrderS Centre (Queen Mary University) and the Kaldor Centre’s Emerging Scholars Network.
