Prof. Sara Bormann is a Professor of Accounting and Management Control at Goethe-University Frankfurt's Faculty of Business Administration 2. Her research focuses on incentive contracts, relational contracts, and the interplay between internal and external information environments, with a particular emphasis on how personality traits influence managerial decision-making. She leads the TRR 266 - Accounting for Transparency project and a DFG-funded study on personality traits and incentives.
- Education: PhD (summa cum laude) from University of Mannheim (2015), postdoc at Washington University in St. Louis (2015-2017), and research stays at University of Michigan and Tilburg University.
Her work bridges theoretical frameworks in management accounting with practical applications in organizational design. Recent publications explore trade secret protection, corporate governance perspectives, and the behavioral aspects of managerial forecasting. She actively participates in conferences like the EAA Annual Congress and Emerging Scholars in Accounting events.
