Dr. Sara Biasutti is a Senior Lecturer in Equine Practice at the Department of Equine Practice, The University of Sydney. She specializes in equine health, surgical techniques, and infectious diseases. Her research focuses on distal limb infections, respiratory conditions in livestock, and innovative surgical approaches for equine patients. She holds BVSc and MVSc qualifications.
Her recent work includes studies on regional limb perfusion for infections, dermatophilosis in alpacas, and splenic abscessation treatment options. She has secured a 2023 grant for investigating feed supplements to prevent gastric ulcers in performance horses.
