Sara Anne Goring is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences within the Tufts School of Engineering and a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Applied Cognitive Psychology from Claremont Graduate University (2023), an MA in Psychological Sciences from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (2016), and a BA in Psychology/French from the University of Missouri Kansas City (2013).
Her research focuses on statistical and mathematical modeling, psychometrics, semantic illusions, and cognitive aging, with an emphasis on how cognitive abilities influence user experience and language processing. She collaborates with advisors Holly Taylor and Tad Brunyé to advance these fields.
Sara plans to continue her dual roles in research and teaching, contributing to cognitive science and mathematical education at Tufts University.
