Sara Andersson is a Doctoral Student and Teaching Staff member at Lund University's Department of Educational Sciences within the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. She also serves as a Pedagogical Developer in the Division for Higher Education Development and maintains an affiliation with the Birgit Rausing Centre for Medical Humanities (BRCMH). Her work bridges educational theory with professional practice across multiple disciplines.
Her research focuses on professional wisdom development through narrative art in professional education. She examines how literary fiction and autobiography serve as pedagogical tools for engineering, social work, and medical students to develop ethical reasoning, reflective practice, and professional identity. Her methodology emphasizes situated case studies exploring practical, moral, and affective dimensions of professional practice.
Andersson's publication record shows consistent output in interdisciplinary educational research since 2022, with recent contributions to medical and engineering education literature.
