Santosh Shahi

Santosh Shahi is a Lecturer in the Department of Structural Engineering at the USC School of Architecture. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines, and both MS and PhD degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. His teaching focuses on advanced structural design principles, including seismic design, building systems integration, and structural analysis. Currently, he teaches 513L Seminar Advanced Structures and 523aL Structural Design and Analysis.

His courses emphasize understanding structural behavior under natural forces, system optimization, and interdisciplinary design challenges. Core resources include Structure and Design (Cognella) and practical tools like Multiframe and LDG for lateral load analysis. Research interests align with structural innovation and resilience in architectural systems.
