Her research agenda centers on how societies can transition to a green economy without sacrificing economic growth. She explores the governance mechanisms that enable decoupling of emissions from growth, the role of political parties, and the influence of public opinion on environmental policy stringency.
Across her recent publications, Lundquist combines advanced quantitative methods—such as event history models—with comparative cross-national datasets. The resulting work provides robust empirical evidence that countries are indeed progressing toward greener growth, and that political parties can meaningfully steer these transitions when environmental issues are salient in their platforms.
Teaching & Supervision
At Stockholm University she teaches quantitative methods at bachelor and master levels and supervises theses in environmental politics.
