Sanjeewa Gamagedara, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). His research bridges analytical chemistry with biomedical applications, focusing on non-invasive cancer diagnosis through biomarker discovery in urinary metabolomics and proteomics. He also contributes to microfluidics for portable diagnostics and environmental/pharmaceutical analysis using advanced instruments.
His research spans metabolomics, proteomics, and microfluidic device development. Publications highlight applications of LC-MS/MS, Lab-on-a-Chip, and HPLC in cancer biomarker validation, food chemistry, and environmental monitoring.
