Dr. Sania Shakoor is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), affiliated with the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. She holds Chartered Psychologist status and leads multidisciplinary research on developmental psychopathology, focusing on youth adversity, violence, and mental health inequalities. Her work employs genetically sensitive longitudinal studies and mixed methodologies like participatory research and statistical analysis. Dr. Shakoor co-directs the ASSET Research Group, addressing life adversity and health in underserved communities, and serves on the board of the anti-bullying charity Kidscape.

Professional Contributions: Collaborates with the Muslim Mind Collaborative. Teaches MSc courses in Psychological Therapies and Forensic Psychology at QMUL. Supervises students on topics like child development, forensic mental health, and psychopathology.
