Sandy K. Piderit

Sandy K. Piderit is a Full Teaching Professor in Management at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. She holds a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Before joining Santa Clara in 2012, she taught at the Naval Postgraduate School and the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Her research focuses on gender in negotiation, team leadership, organizational change dynamics, and healthcare management. She has co-edited influential books such as The Handbook of Women in Business and Management (2007) and A Handbook of Transformative Cooperation (2007). Her work has been published in top journals including the Academy of Management Review and Administrative Science Quarterly.

Her courses include Management of Organizations, Negotiation Skills in Business, and Leading People and Organizations. Research interests extend to corporate citizenship’s impact on employees, healthcare organizational structures, and leadership strategies in crises.
