Sandrine THERIAS

Sandrine THERIAS is a Research Fellow at the Clermont-Ferrand Institute of Chemistry (ICCF) within University Clermont Auvergne. She leads the Photochemistry team and is a member of the Polymers, Photochemistry, Properties and Interfaces (POPPI) research theme, as well as the 'Chemistry and Materials' Thematic Axis. Her research focuses on the photochemical behavior of polymers and nanocomposites, reaction mechanisms, and the impact of nanofillers. Current research includes developing coatings with specific properties for organic solar cell encapsulation and energy-efficient LED lighting, as well as studying heritage polymer materials.

Education: She earned her HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from Blaise Pascal University in 2005 and a Doctorate in Organic Electrochemistry in 1996. She has held CNRS positions since 1998, including postdoctoral research at the John Innes Center (UK) and teaching roles at IUT and Joseph Fourier University.

Her work bridges fundamental chemistry with applied materials science, addressing sustainability through advanced material design and heritage preservation.
