Julien CHRISTMANN

Julien CHRISTMANN is an Assistant Professor at the University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA), affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry and the Institute of Chemistry of Clermont-Ferrand (ICCF, UMR 6296) since September 2019. He holds responsibilities as the communication lead for the 'Photochemistry' research team and coordinates the 'Packaging' specialization in the Bachelor of Chemistry program.

He completed his PhD in Physical Chemistry (2014-2017) at the University of Haute-Alsace, focusing on molecular photochemistry of photopolymerization processes. His current research explores:

• Photochemical aging mechanisms in polymer materials
• Transport properties and permeability of degraded polymers
• Photopolymerization kinetics and initiating systems
• Luminescence spectroscopy applications in material science

His recent publications demonstrate strong focus on polymer degradation kinetics, photooxidation effects on material properties, and advanced photopolymerization techniques, with consistent applications across packaging and materials engineering domains.
