Sandra Zappa-Hollman is Associate Professor in Language and Literacy Education at UBC and Director of Academic English Programming at Vantage College.
Her research examines academic discourse socialization of multilingual students in English-medium universities, with emphasis on EAP pedagogy and content-language integration.
Current projects include a multi-site study of bi/multilingual students' academic socialization and investigations of instructor beliefs toward multilingual learners.
Publications explore collaborative teaching models, linguistically responsive instruction, and disciplinary writing development.
