Her research focuses on hemispheric processing of nonliteral language (metaphors, idioms, sarcasm), neural activity during reading, inference generation in text comprehension, and how brain lateralization affects understanding of conspiracy theories and advertisements. She explores emotional valence, task difficulty, and textual constraint as modulating factors.
Recent publications analyze trademarks and the brain (2022), hemispheric processing of emojis (2021), and anagram interpretation (2022). Her work demonstrates consistent emphasis on brain lateralization mechanisms across various linguistic and cognitive tasks.
She regularly presents at academic conferences including the Annual Meeting of the Association for Psychological Science (2022, 2021) and has collaborated with researchers like D. Cahr, S. Briner, and M. Schutzenhofer. Current projects examine figurative language in digital communication and political discourse.
