Prof. Dr. Sandra Sülzenbrück is a Professor of Business Psychology at the Westfälische Hochschule's Faculty of Business and Economics (Fachbereich Wirtschaft GE). Her research spans workplace psychology, sensory processing sensitivity, leadership studies, and occupational health, with significant contributions to understanding stress management, work-life integration, and cognitive aspects of tool use.
Her research interests focus on workplace stress interventions (particularly expressive writing techniques), sensory processing sensitivity in organizational contexts, leadership mechanisms (including servant leadership), and motor skill adaptation in complex work environments. She has pioneered work on how high sensitivity affects workplace performance and has developed training concepts for police decision-making.
Prof. Sülzenbrück leads the iwp Schriftenreihe research series, mentoring numerous doctoral students whose work appears in edited volumes. Her recent publications (2023-2024) show a strong focus on workplace interventions, mindfulness applications, and the validation of psychological measurement tools.
She actively supervises students in organizational psychology research, with published theses covering topics like systemic leadership, work-life blending, and the impact of open-space offices. Her office is located in Room A6.1.21 at Neidenburger Str. 43, Gelsenkirchen, with winter semester 2025/26 office hours on Mondays from 11:00-12:00 by appointment.
