Dr. Sandra Meier is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine. She specializes in leveraging modern technology to improve youth mental health care, with a focus on anxiety disorders, genetic risk factors, and long-term outcomes. Her work includes developing a smartphone app for passive behavioral monitoring to enable early intervention.

Research Interests: Dr. Meier’s research combines psychiatric epidemiology, mobile sensing, and genetic studies to address Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Her projects include the PROSIT app for social interaction tracking and studies on social media impacts on youth well-being.
