Sandra Huston is a Professor and Associate Vice Provost at Texas Tech University's School of Financial Planning, where she also serves as Associate School Director. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor and State Extension Specialist at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2001 through 2006.
She holds a Ph.D. in Consumer Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Her research centers on Financial Literacy and Financial Education, investigating investment behavior through major national surveys including the Survey of Consumer Finances and National Longitudinal Surveys of Youth. Key areas include household financial decision-making, generational wealth analysis, and mortgage borrowing patterns, integrating consumer economics with practical financial planning applications.
