Sandra Fietkau

Prof. Dr. Sandra Fietkau is Professor and Program Director of the B.A. program "Inklusive Pädagogik und Heilpädagogik" (Inclusive and Special Needs Education) at the Evangelische Hochschule Ludwigsburg. She also teaches in the B.A. and M.A. Social Work programs and in the B.A. Early Childhood Education, and serves on the scholarship award committee of the EH Foundation.

Research Interests

Prof. Fietkau’s research focuses on inclusive education and participation of people with disabilities. She investigates person-centred planning, circles of support, and community integration strategies across different cultural contexts. Additional interests include digital participation and inclusive transitions from school to work. Her work is strongly applied, partnering with churches, diaconal organizations, and public authorities.

She has authored or co-authored four major publications since 2007, including comparative international studies on circles of support, sibling relationships when intellectual disability is present, gender-sensitive inclusive social work with girls, and community participation of people with complex disabilities. Advising & Teaching

As Program Director, Prof. Fietkau oversees curriculum, student advising, and quality assurance for the B.A. in Inclusive and Special Needs Education.
