Dr. Sandhiran Patchay is Associate Professor of Movement and Cognition Research at the University of Greenwich's School of Human Sciences. His neuroscience research examines motor control, gait mechanics, and cognitive-motor interactions across the lifespan. With postdoctoral experience at CNRS Marseille and Royal Holloway, he investigates fall risks in older adults through cortical activity analysis.
Current work explores connections between musculoskeletal pain, balance confidence, and mobility limitations. He developed interactive neuroscience teaching tools through a Teaching Quality Enhancement grant and previously led the BSc Psychology programme.
Fellowships include the Wellcome Trust Postdoctoral Fellowship. His lab employs motion capture, EEG, and psychophysical methods to study perception-action integration.
