Sander Lentz is a Junior Assistant Professor at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS), part of the Department of Population Health Sciences at Utrecht University. With a background in toxicology, epidemiology, and biology, he focuses on innovating education and researching alternatives to animal testing (NAMs).
His teaching spans multiple bachelor's programs:

- Toxicology - Chemicals, Pesticides and Food (BSc Biomedical Sciences)
- Veterinary Toxicology (BSc Veterinary Medicine)

Research-wise, Lentz leads the AFARA project, identifying metabolism-disrupting chemicals through NAMs while collaborating with social sciences and law to translate findings into societal applications.
