معرفی
Dr. Nynke Kramer is an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University's Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) within the Department of Population Health Sciences. She leads the In Vitro Toxicology research group, focusing on developing and refining in vitro models for toxicological risk assessment, particularly to enhance extrapolation to human and animal health impacts.
- Education: BSc in Life Sciences (summa cum laude) from University College Utrecht, MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, PhD at IRAS (2010)
Her research emphasizes in vitro techniques, pharmacokinetic modeling, and quantitative extrapolation frameworks to bridge lab results with real-world toxicity predictions. Teaching spans toxicokinetics, hepatotoxicity, PBPK models, and risk assessment in BSc and MSc programs across Biology, Biomedical Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine.
- Key Awards: SETAC Procter and Gamble Fellowship (funded research at Eawag, Switzerland)
Kramer actively contributes to graduate summer schools like U-AIM and IRAS, integrating her expertise in environmental toxicology and risk management.
