Samy Y. Lamouille, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, Department of Biological Sciences (College of Science), and Department of Basic Science Education (Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine). Research focuses on cancer stem cells, EMT, and connexin proteins in glioblastoma. Co-founded Acomhal Research Inc. to develop peptide therapies targeting cancer stem cells.

Research Interests

Studies EMT-driven cancer metastasis, connexin43 signaling in cancer stem cells, and development of JM2 peptide therapies. Specializes in TGF-β pathway modulation and protein-protein interactions in tumor progression.
