Samuele Arcangioli

Samuele Arcangioli is a Professor of Lithography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and Bologna, with a career dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional printmaking techniques since his 1994/95 graduation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. His expertise spans stone lithography, chalcographic engraving, and analog drawing methods.

Professor Arcangioli's research centers on historical printmaking preservation and hands-on technical instruction. His work bridges classical lithographic practices with contemporary artistic applications, emphasizing material craftsmanship and cross-cultural techniques learned through collaborations with master printers. He actively promotes analog methods in an increasingly digital art world.

Professional Activities:

• Collaborates with Egyptian Master Lithographer Piersantini at Corte della Miniera/Museum Graphia in Urbino since 1996
• Conducts lithography workshops for Academies of Fine Arts in Bologna and Ravenna
• Teaches Chalcographic Engraving Techniques at Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna
• Holds seminars at Polytechnic of Milan on analog drawing and graphic techniques
• Active collaborator with AIMSC (National Association of Printing and Paper Museums)
