Samuel Wright is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering, Lipscomb University. He serves as an instructor and supports lab activities across Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering departments. His responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment, managing supplies, and overseeing the Innovation Lab. He actively advises students and mission trip coordinators on engineering projects and designs. Additionally, he supports the Music City BEST robotics competition and BisonBot Robot Camps organized by the college.
With prior industry experience at Trane, Inc., designing large commercial HVAC systems, Wright integrates practical engineering insights into academic settings. His work emphasizes hands-on learning and fostering student engagement in applied engineering challenges.
