معرفی
Dr Samuel Stephen is a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), based at the Moreton Bay Campus. He holds a PhD (Applied Mathematics) and BScAdv(Hons) from Griffith University. His primary affiliation is with the School of Science, Technology and Engineering. Professional memberships include ANZIAM and the Australian Mathematical Society.
Dr Stephen's research focuses on computational fluid dynamics, numerical methods, and mathematical modelling. His work explores geometric effects in fluid flow through asymmetric periodic tubes, separation zones, and microfluidic applications. He employs advanced techniques like the lattice Boltzmann method and boundary integral approaches.
His recent publications (2021–2023) highlight studies on fluid dynamics in periodic geometries, emphasizing asymmetric structures and particulate transport. These works contribute to understanding flow separation, particle behavior in microfluidic environments, and numerical validation of axisymmetric models.
- Awards: Best Presentation Prize (CTAC 2022), William Finlay Blyth Prize (EMAC 2021)
- Teaching: Specializes in Applied Mathematics courses across Queensland universities since 2019.
