Dr. Hattie Wright is Associate Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Sunshine Coast, where she coordinates the Bachelor of Dietetics program. As an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, she bridges clinical practice and academia, holding a visiting fellowship at Sunshine Coast Hospital.
Her research examines diet-disease relationships in chronic conditions (cancer survivorship, CKD) and healthy aging. Wright develops behavior change interventions to improve dietary self-management and quality of life. She leads projects on dietetic education innovation using simulation-based learning and telehealth training.
Wright has received multiple awards including the ANZSN Nutrition Research Award. Professional leadership includes roles as PINES Vice-President and COSA member. Key publications examine:
