Samuel Singer

Samuel Singer, MD, FACS, is a Professor and leader in sarcoma research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He serves as Chief of the Gastric and Mixed Tumor Service, Vincent Astor Chair of Clinical Research, and Director of the Sarcoma Center. His research focuses on genomic and epigenetic alterations in soft tissue sarcomas to identify therapeutic targets and improve patient outcomes. Singer's work combines surgical oncology expertise with laboratory research, leading initiatives like the Sarcoma Genome Project and an NIH-funded SPORE grant. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School and has been recognized with multiple awards, including Castle Connolly’s Top Doctor distinctions.

His research interests include sarcoma biology, targeted therapy development, and molecular diagnostics. Key projects include studying integrin-α10 as a therapeutic target and discovering novel agents for dedifferentiated liposarcoma. He leads a multidisciplinary team engaged in genomic profiling, drug screening, and preclinical models to advance precision medicine.
