Samuel Harbin

Samuel Harbin, DMin, is a Professor and Program Chair for Seminary Masters Programs at Lancaster Bible College (LBC). With over 40 years of experience in pastoral ministry and Christian higher education, he has held roles including senior pastor, seminary chaplain, professor, and seminary president. He currently leads the School of Bible & Ministry’s Graduate Studies program.

Dr. Harbin holds a B.A. from Indiana Baptist College (1982), an M.Div. from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary (1985), and a DMin from Dallas Theological Seminary (2001), focusing on Old Testament narrative interpretation. His teaching spans hermeneutics, English Bible studies, and homiletics.

His research interests include effective biblical communication, church leadership, and pastoral ministry. Notable publications address deacon roles, emerging church trends, and creative sermon design. He maintains an active speaking and consulting ministry, particularly aiding churches in pastoral searches.
