Samuel B. Fey is a Professor of Biology at Reed College, where he leads the Fey Lab focusing on population and community ecology in variable environments. His research examines how environmental fluctuations, particularly thermal variability, shape biological communities, with a focus on aquatic ecosystems. He teaches courses such as Global Change Ecology and Ecology, emphasizing primary literature analysis and experimental design.
Dr. Fey’s work integrates field observations, lab experiments, and mathematical models to address ecological questions.
