معرفی
Dr. Samson Chota is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht University. His primary research group is Experimental Psychology.
He is actively involved in the following Master's programs:
- Applied Data Science Artificial Intelligence
- Neuroscience and Cognition
His research expertise lies at the intersection of Cognitive Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on Human-centered AI and Life Sciences. Key areas include cognitive modeling, working memory, attention mechanisms, and neural synchronization. His work aims to understand how the brain processes information in real-time and how these insights can inform AI systems.
Analysis of Dr. Chota's recent publications reveals a cohesive research trajectory centered on dynamic cognitive processes. His work demonstrates how rhythmic attentional sampling governs working memory operations and how neural representations flexibly adapt to environmental demands. This research bridges experimental psychology with computational modeling, yielding insights applicable to both cognitive theory and human-centered AI development.
Dr. Chota actively contributes to graduate education through the Introduction to Cognitive Models course and supervision within Utrecht's Neuroscience and Cognition and Applied Data Science Artificial Intelligence programs.
