Dr. Samira Malekmohammadi is a materials chemist specializing in polymer synthesis, nanocomposites, and 2D materials. She holds a PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and currently serves as an Application Scientist at the Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials, leading the Centre of Expertise in Advanced Materials and Sustainability (CEAMS) project. Her research focuses on sustainable materials, biomedical applications, and environmental impact assessments via life cycle analysis (LCA).
Education: PhD in Chemistry (EPFL, 2019). Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Manchester and researcher at EPFL, collaborating with institutions like CPI, NPL, and Catapult centers.
Research interests span polymers, nanocomposites, 2D materials, and sustainable technologies. Notable contributions include stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems, 3D-printed biomaterials, and nanofiber-based tissue engineering.
