Samira Diebire is an Assistant Lecturer and Postgraduate Research Student in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. Her research focuses on post-revolutionary violence, decolonisation, ethnic representation, public opinion, and democratisation in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her doctoral thesis examines how political expectations influence violence in post-revolutionary contexts, using survey data from Burkina Faso's 2014 uprising. Her research is funded by the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS).
