Samir Khuller is a Professor at the University of Maryland, where he holds the Elizabeth Stevinson Iribe Chair for Computer Science. His research focuses on graph algorithms, discrete optimization, and computational geometry, with over 180 publications in these areas.
- Education: B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (1986), M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University (1989, 1990).
His work spans theoretical and applied aspects of algorithms, including foundational contributions to combinatorial optimization and approximation algorithms. He has led initiatives such as the development of the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Innovation, slated for completion in 2018.
