Samir Jabbour is an adjunct clinical professor at the Université de Montréal (Department of Ophthalmology) and McGill University. His clinical and research focus spans corneal diseases, refractive surgery, and public health. He completed his MD at McGill University (2014), a residency in ophthalmology at Université de Montréal (2019), and fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute.
Research Interests: Corneal transplantation, anterior segment eye diseases, cataract surgery, mucous membrane pemphigoid, and public health epidemiology. Current MPH candidate at Harvard University.
Awards: Multiple grants including CHUM Clinician-Researcher Bursaries, Besner-Valois Funds, and Harvard EPI Fellowship (2022). Notable recognitions include the Resident Chef award (2017) and Clarke McLeod Scholarship (2012).
Grants & Advising: Holds multiple research bursaries (CHUM, Besner-Valois) and oversees clinical fellowships in cornea and anterior segment surgery at CHUM. Active in medical education and residency training programs.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with teams at CHUM, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and international ophthalmology research networks.
