Samiksha Bhan

Samiksha Bhan is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Politics and Governance under the International Max Planck Research School Global Multiplicity at the Max Planck Society. Her academic work bridges medical anthropology and socio-political studies in South Asian contexts.

• Ph.D. project: Temporalities of disease and politics of health in India

Her scholarly contributions span topics like genetic technologies, chronicity, and state-governance dynamics, with fieldwork on Sufi music in Delhi and Sylheti community affiliations in Assam. She was awarded the Krishna Raj Travel Fellowship by the Economic and Political Weekly (EPW) for her M.A. research.
