Sami Ullah

Professor Sami Ullah is a Professor of Biogeochemistry at the University of Birmingham, affiliated with the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on nitrogen and carbon cycling, greenhouse gas fluxes, and ecosystem resilience under global change. He holds a PhD and MSc from Louisiana State University, USA.

Education: PhD in Biogeochemistry (Louisiana State University, 2001–2005), MSc in Wetland Science and Management (Louisiana State University, 1999–2001).

Research Interests: Biogeochemical cycles, land-use and climate change impacts, soil health, restoration ecology, and sustainable land management. His work integrates experimental approaches and novel techniques like stable isotopes and high-resolution sensors to study microbial processes and nutrient dynamics.
