Samer Mansour

Samer Mansour is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Montreal's Faculty of Medicine. He is affiliated with the CRCHUM (Research Center of the University of Montreal Hospital Center) and the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). His research focuses on cell therapy, particularly investigating stem cell treatments for cardiac diseases. He leads the COMAPRE-AMI clinical protocol comparing stem cell efficacy post-myocardial infarction and collaborates with the Bone Marrow Transplant Center at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.

Key projects include determining stem cell effects on heart failure in chronic ischemic heart disease and optimizing endothelial progenitor cell isolation. He has supervised Master’s students Evguenia Zdanovich and Kevin Haddad. His research has been supported by grants from FRQS and IRSC, including a 2011-2015 project on autologous CD133+ stem cell transplantation.
