Samarjit Chakraborty serves as the William R. Kenan, Jr. Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, following prior professorships at the Technical University of Munich (2008-2019) and National University of Singapore (2003-2008).
Education:

Research Focus: His work pioneers resource-aware design of embedded and cyber-physical systems, with critical applications in automotive security, sustainable computing for consumer electronics, and energy-efficient protocols. He integrates hardware-software co-design methodologies to address challenges in cars, drones, and mobile systems through rigorous modeling and optimization.
